Eliminate hunger and food insecurity
In Scotland, food packages handed out by the Trussell Trust increased by more than 900% in 3 years up to 2015/16. Globally, one in nine people (795 million) are undernourished.
According to figures from the Trussell Trust, 46,094 children had to use food banks in Scotland in 2016-17 – that’s an increase of 2,477 per cent compared to 2011-12.
