On average women in Scotland earn £182.90 per week less than men. Iceland has the lowest gender-based pay disparities in the world, followed by Finland and Norway

In the 2017 Scottish local council elections, women’s representation increased by only 4%. At the current rate of progress it will take 25 years to reach fair representation (Source: Women 50:50)

Around 80 per cent of staff working in administration and personal services are women, but only 10 per cent of senior managers in science, engineering and technology professions and less than three per cent of civil engineers (Source: Close the Gap)
